Because I haven’t written anything in a while…
(and someone wanted me to write this down!)
I had to be in a wheelchair for a couple of hours last week in order to experience what it feels like. And I was wheeling myself to class and I got stuck! And then I was about to stand up but then this person who had no legs approached me in her wheelchair and said “Hi, Friend!!” and I thought “goddammit, I can’t stand up now” and the person with her laughed at me and said “looks like you don’t know how to use that thing” and laughed and laughed and laughed and then they went past me and when I looked to see if it was clear for me to stand up they both did a double take and laughed and laughed and laughed. Then I stood up and just pushed it the rest of the way.
p.s. Valuable Knowledge Learned In Medical School Today: Feces that have been stuck in a colon for a year do not smell good. And I may or may not get whiffs of it whenever I put my hands to my face.
